Fwd: Flying Wednesday ?

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: ZASoars
Fellow Aviators ,

It looks like Wednesday could be quite a good soaring day . Please let
me know if you are interested in flying and we'll try to find a
friendly tow pilot .

Ron (ZA).

UPDATE:

We will soar Wednesday and it should be good. So far we have 3 or 4 pilots who have said they would like to fly . Larry Miller has kindly agreed to tow . I suggest we shoot for a first launch at 1:30 ( remember DST ! ) .

CU at the field sometime after noon.

No Flying Sunday

Sunday flying was washed out due to low ceilings and drizzle. See you next week!

Saturday, March 29, 2008

Opening Day

The wind today was fairly constant, blowing right down the runway from the east at about 14 knots. And it was COLD out there. We rigged the PW-5 and the Grob 103, disassembled and packed the Astir, took a break for lunch, then came back and had 14 flights in the afternoon.

Fwd: Wed soaring [3/26/08]?
UPDATE: No flying Wednesday

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: ZASoars
Fellow Pilots,

Wednesday looks possible. I would say a late start considering
Daylight savings time and the forecasts . Bob Currie has indicated a
willingness to tow so if you would like to fly let me know and with
sufficient interest we'll do it !

Ron (ZA).

Apparently conditions don't look enticing enough to fly tomorrow. As no one responded there are no plans to fly on Wednesday .
Remember wx permitting Saturday is planned as a BFR day . Come on out early to get on the list and get checked out for the season.

Indiana Floods Visible to Satellites

These March 24 satellite images of Indiana from the National Weather Service show how the current floods affect the development of thermal lift and cumulus clouds. It doesn't look like there's much good lift over flooded areas! Take a look.
