Fly-in Breakfast - May 30th

To all Members .
Please be sure to write in the date of our First "FLY IN BREAKFAST " at Alex. This will take place on Saturday May 30th 9:00am - 12:00 noon . Just 4 weeks away. The rain date is Sunday May 31 , so Crews for both MAY the 30th and the 31st should take note as we will need your help on one of those two days !

The objective of this exercise is to have as many power pilots fly in to Alex. and experience SOARING . Of course we hope to encourage as many as possible to take a glider ride and join the club .

Hopefully ALL club members will be able to attend , enjoy a great pancake breakfast with us and be ready to answer questions about soaring and the benefits of belonging to our club . We need volunteers to help set up, park the 'planes , do the cooking and help with the glider rides we hope to sell -

If you would like to help please let Ron Clarke or Dan De Witt know and if you know any power pilots you think would enjoy this event please give them a call to encourage them to "Fly in " . You might like to remind them of our new field radio frequency ( 123.05 ) .

The weather forecast for tomorrow is not good:
25% chance of rain in the morning
75% chance of rain in the afternoon, haze and mist.

Average winds of 10-12 mi/h through the day and increasing as the day
progresses.
All this when we are still rusty from the winter months.
Dr Jack shows dark blue all over Central Indiana.

There's no reason to start the season pushing our luck.
Save your gas and tow money for the next day.
