Saturday, September 8 is a washout, with low ceilings and imminent thunderstorms. No flying today.

Due to predicted low ceilings early Saturday morning, we will start
operations an hour late - The Crew should arrive at 10:00 and we will
start operations about 11:00. We hope we can get in some
instructional fights after the clouds lift and before the rain comes.

The three days of Labor Day weekend netted the club 91 launches!
Adding the flights from Friday, the day before we achieved almost 100
launches for this long weekend (I don't have the exact count of the
number of instructional flights for Monday). The overwhelming
majority of these flights were instructional flights and several of
our students made excellent progress. Paula Johnson soloed on Monday.
Paula is an almost brand-new member; she joined the club in July and
was able to accrue 27 instructional flights across two months.
Congratulations, Paula! Now, as you promised you'd do, you must bring
your viola and play for all the instructors and crew that helped you
achieve this goal.

Altimeter adjustments

Dear friends

1. Last weekend, we discovered that Charlie Sierra's Altimeter
Adjusting knob was broken off. That Altimeter was replaced with an
identical one. So, our Grob 102 (Astir) is good to go.

2. Please make note of this change... Our PW5 Altimeter is now
replaced with original one. The original PZL Altimeter is read in feet
X 100. Thanks for your attention to this detail.
